Don't remember there being any filter when I fitted my RAI - just a gap behind the cover
Mine's MY2011 - thought all Pumas were the same - LR strike again Sure you're not thinking of a previous vehicle? I've done that before Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Very odd I clearly remember it being in the Snorkel instructions and I managed to get Dinitrol on mine when I was plastering it everywhere whilst fitting the snorkel! It's just a standard filter, side wing vent hole shaped with a red rubbery gasket to it!
PS thanks for looking Bob |

Er... could it have been stuck to the inside of the vent plastic... and easily thrown away with it?
(I think my vent might have had a bit of mesh ) Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Nope - didn't have one then. Mine just looked like these pics (sort of): Was your Defender factory-new? If you specified a "working" vehicle, perhaps LR put an extra filter in (seems unlikely...) Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Tell someone you love them today because life is short. The Tdi's & TD5' didn't have them & some Puma's by the sound of it . My computer keeps packing up (keeping having to log of and on again ) but i may have a picture of when I was doing the work originally and one pic might show the filter but I don't think i have one of it Will try.....
EDIT No pics I'll see what the mechanics say tomorrow Last edited by Zagato on 15th Jan 2012 8:15pm. Edited 1 time in total |
