Cable from battery to underseat fusebox
I am converting my 300tdi to a TD5.

Putting the ecu under the drivers seat along with a fusebox. There is a cable (I think) that runs behind the seats from the battery to the fusebox.

Could someone confirm that this is correct and what fittings are on the end of the cable (photo would be good Thumbs Up ), as I want to make one up.

I think there are also relays under there as well, are these just normal relays from an auto shop?

Cheers...Al

The cable is the main power feed to the underseat fusebox.

One end has the battery terminal, the other is a right angled lug with a hole through it, which fits into the fusebox and is screwed down.

The cable also has 2 zip ties that attach to a couple of the bolt ends that poke through the underside of the top of the seatbox...the ties have a part that pushes up onto threaded bolts and secures them in place. you don't really want that cable dangling and catching something as it's +ve direct from the battery!

Does this cable run inside the cab behind the seats, or under the cab?

Does it matter, as very tricky making 2" holes in the side of the seat box for the grommets. 1996 Defender 130 converted to TD5 and auto

That is what I used in the end. There was more room underneath to use a drill than I thought with the gearboxes back in Smile 1996 Defender 130 converted to TD5 and auto
