Rear hinges
Has anyone had success oiling the back door hinges. I am sure the creaking/cracking noises are coming from the door hinges, but l can't see how to get to them.

lt was exactly the same noise as my old Defender made and oiling the hinges shut it up for months.

I am not sure why cars nowadays have no hinges lubricated. I have spread lithium grease from day one on my defender. Some of my more techy friends with engineering background suggest is not needed. However it is harmless to spread some old fashion grease…and makes me feel better Smile
You can also use dry silicon spray if you feel rich…

l've managed to oil the hinges with spray grease.

However it didn't stop the creaking.
