Remove ( couple of screws) a plastic panel located in the offside rear wheel arch behind the rear lights. With a torch you will see a connector that connects the 13 pin socket to the loom, This wiring is for the lights so you can disconnect, test and clean etc. |

13 pin euro sockets are very good, the only downside is unlike a 7 pin they are tested as part of the MoT

What would happen if you had a cover on the 13 pin tow socket?
I thought they can’t remove covers? Or would that then conclude that the MOT couldn’t be properly completed? I’m just wondering, as if that’s included, and covers are also items that shouldn’t be removed then that is a clash on that subject. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Given the number of defective or inoperative vehicle/trailer lights one sees that’s a positive in my view.
