AS I said in my first post , and others subsequently, I would still test your existing battery ( most decent car parts suppliers can test the battery for you) , and you should test for potential parasitic drain, however it is very likely it’s just age related battery failure.

And bear in mind various different specs such as the AH rating and CCA spec, those specs have a slight difference in price as well as the size needs to be correct.

I agree with Ianh and if it helps: last summer, after almost exactly 10 years my factory VARTA LFD90 packed up and I replaced it with an LED95 (95Ah, 850A CCA, EFB, dual purpose).

Note the VARTA LFD90 (90Ah, 800A CCA) was already an EFB and dual-purpose type. The data sheet states 200 cycles at 50% DOD (depth of discharge) and 300 @ 25%. The LED95 is good for 250 cycles @ 50% DOD.

This is not to be confused with deep cycle batteries such as an ECTIVE DC 95 which is good for 750 cycles @ 50% but can also cope with 80% DOD (for 450 cycles). That's why they are usually used as leisure batteries. However even that model has a CCA of 840A!

Thanks macfrank. One thing, the LFD was dual purpose, but it was a wet , not EFB battery. Thumbs Up

Just trying to understand the Yuasa HSB 019 100a 900EN (EN is lower than CCA) 5 year warranty

Versus the Varta LED95 95a 850cca 2 year warranty (a leisure battery)

Many thanks in advance

The Yuasa HSB 019 100a 900EN is a wet (not EFB) starter only (not dual purpose) battery.

As an alternative to Varta LED95, has anyone come across Yuasa L36-EFB?

This is cut and pasted from another website, none Land Rover:

An alternative to the Varta LED95 (and recommended in the past on this forum) would be this Yuasa battery
