Thanks for de detailed explanation. yes, the rear view camera. PO mounted one under the spare wheel on the tailgate. I likely would only use it when parking, so no need for me to see the tow hitch.
The 3d printed part looks brilliant, very well done. Would you mind sharing the 3d files? Then I could fire up my own printer if I get myself that rear view mirror... wife has been complaining recently how usefull it would be. Guess I'm cleared to spend the money then |

Let me get it all fully fitted and then I can help out.
What would people say is the best view from a rear camera? I don’t need to see the towbar so I guess if I just catch the edge of the spare? Has anyone any pictures of there rear camera view on screen to share before I fix it to the roof?? You can scroll up and down on the screen to adjust the angle, I mounted mine high up by modifying the rear washer with 2 cameras, one as a rear view and the other to look down to the tow bar (I currently don’t have a wheel on the back)
Click image to enlarge This image shows the screen in its central spot looking straight out but it does have about 10 degrees of angle up and down, the picture also shows the reversing camera on the main screen, beware that even up there they do get dirty. I used to have one below the spare wheel and that would become useless after a few miles in the winter. Click image to enlarge I used Ram mounts to fix mine up and at some point I will directly wire those cables in through the back of the unit Hope that helps Click image to enlarge |

Another update on the most over engineered Wolfbox install Just got the power back on since Thursday night after the storm.
The modified leg so that the cables can pass thru it... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Then printed a connector cover which is still to be painted. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Some printed spacers so the cables can run behind the mount Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge So pretty much ready to fit it all up now.
