Decided to attempt a custom Wolfbox install to kill many birds with one stone. I have ordered a 10" system but I want to try and keep it as tidy as possible and not strapped over the current mirror. First step was to scan the original mirror leg and design / print a cover piece so that I can run the cables up the back hidden away. When I get the new mirror tomorrow I plan to print a simple mount but with the original socket bonded on so that the mirror can be adjusted. In theory when installed I will have the visors cut for clearance and re trimmed in Alston.

Made some progress. Have the new mirror leg cover ready for paint and the socket piece removed from the older mirror. Just waiting for the kit to be delivered and the last part will be the bracket on the back of the Wolfbox to print. I think it will look spot on when I paint it all in

Thanks, Wolfbox arrived late afternoon so got the mounting plate drawn up and printed, you can see the socket from the old mirror bonded into the print. Just didn't have long enough M2 screws but should get it fitted tomorrow and hopefully wired up at the weekend. Thumbs Up

Seriously brilliant work as usual! If you ever decided to print off more I would gladly buy one from you. WARNING.

Amazing! I tried a few modeling software's for days and days over Christmas. It is not at all simple (it hurt my brain so much), as well as the 3d scanning. Outstanding work Thumbs Up

looks brilliant! where will you be mounting the camera? Was thinking about getting the G930 myself but wasn't sure if it would be worth it; not sure how it is at night... I'm easily irritated by all the lamps and gauges and stuff. I'd like to have full submarine combat mode: only red lights, and as few as possible.

The rear camera? I will likely place it on the roof. I am really doing this to gain the reverse camera function without having a double din install, dash cam recording is just a bonus!

Got some M2 screws and could finally fit it up. Visors can got to vertical only as expected so I am going to buy some used ones from ebay tonight and cut/retrim them.

The only negative beyond my control is the cable connections to the Wolfbox as they slot into the top so I am going to print a small cap/cover to hide them.

Into the headlining I have beefed up 2 of the 3 bolts holding the mirror bracket so that I can lose the 3rd bolt and dremel out a channel for the cables to feed up thru the bracket. I think this is about the best I can do given what i started with.
