Great pic of the front and as in most cases, the journey is always longer than we first think

So we wired up the MegaJolt, EDIS 8, Coilpacks and Crank Sensor over the past couple of days. Everything went really well until we came to turn the thing off !! Leakage from the alternator into the white feeds prevented the relays from cutting things out. Took ages to fathem but we got there.
The engine sounds fantastic with the new 9:35 pistons, rebuild with new cam, valves, big ends, mains etc. The exhaust is perfect with not much more noise but better flow. We've added a Lambda Sensor bung so with the MegaJolt showing revs and manifold pressure and the sensor showing mixture it is so much easier to set up and optimise. We also added the extra temperature sensor for the MegaJolt to alter the timing for cold startup. This drops out gently as the thing warms up. She now starts on the button first time every time (Before was a cranking nightmare especially when hot.) There are a few more "campervan" bits to do and some interior reassembly but we're getting ever closer .. |

So we've finally got there on the body and mechanics. New zero offset wheels with 235/85 16 tyres so 70mph should be more bearable. Next stop is taking the Dormobile roof off to fit the new canopy and roof vents, replace the glass roof seals and fit the bunk bed in the Spring when its warm enough for Flowcoat to work nicely ...

She lives !!
![]() Click image to enlarge Now with an MOT ![]() Now needs to go off to the rolling road to see what bhp the engine makes. In the spring we'll pul off the Dormobile lid and white flowcoat the inside - replace the roof vinyl and fit the single pull out bed that goes in the roof. |
