Did you stick down the foam or just lay it under the carpet? I'm trying to work out how not to create a total mess by cutting lots of different sections around seatbox covers and gearbox plate since it sounds like you really want it to cover all areas if poss.

You can get pre cut foam/vinyl mats from noise killer to go over the butyl later and then fit the carpet on top. I found the seatbox didn't have enough clearance to the door to fit the panels there, but I know others have.
I ended up replacing the noise killer and carpet with the wright off road matting. It has guidelines under the seat area so you can easily cut flaps to get to the battery and ECU areas. It is very heavy so having a spare pair of hands when you fit it will make things easier. I'd say the soundproofing is similar between the two options.. But I still need to swap out the solid mass flywheel and clutch as it is so noisy and I also need to improve soundproofing in the tunnel around the gearbox turret. These two issues are generating a lot of excess noise so it's hard to properly determine how effective the matting is. TBH I've been a bit distracted on another vehicle and really need to get this sorted, I have a new dual mass flywheel and HD clutch from LOF sitting in the garage so just need to book it in. Then I just have the tunnel insulation to sort out..
