Yes, but I took the vehicle to a Land Rover specialist in the end - I can't quite recall what he did but can ask him tomorrow.

I had a similar issue with an exhaust smell in the cab. I took it to the garage for a smoke test & they found a leak between exhaust manifold & turbo. They told me that the problem was that the gasket between manifold & turbo was missing and so they fitted one.
Now I'm googling I can only see a gasket for the 2.4 and not the 2.2 & I'm wondering if it should ever have had a gasket? Anyway this was a few years ago and it seemed to fix it. |

The 2.2 WSM indicates that there is no gasket between the turbo and exhaust manifold on the 2.2.

Yes, the 2.4 needs/comes with a gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo. Ford p/n 1505921 Click image to enlarge Puma 110" SW ............................................................. Earth first. Other planets later |
