Hello & help ! Power loss, lock barrels, mystery cables
Hello all.

New to the forum (110 SCPU now a convertible). I’d post a photo if i could work it out.

so saying hello first and asking for a little help please.

Firstly - out driving this evening and experienced power loss, didn’t quite stall but virtually no power. Switched off for a few minutes and all fine for a couple of miles then gone again. Managed to limp home.
Truck has been dry stored for 2 years and used very little. 1/4 tank of diesel of unknown age. I will check coolant level and fuel filter as soon as I can. Advice on here suggests VCV issue ?
Can I drain the fuel tank and flush it ?

Secondly - can I have the same key to operate the rear safari lock as well as the two front doors, fuel cap and ignition ?

Thirdly - I’ve got a bunch of wires connected to a grey 12 pin connector block (6x6) coming up behind the dash clocks onto the top of the dash - if only i could post a photo !! 6 wires going in purple/white, purple/blue, purple/brown, 2 x black, black/brown, white/black. Any ideas what this was connected to ? I’m thinking interior lights as they've all gone since the conversion - I’m only asking as the Haynes manual doesn’t recognise any purple wires for the interior lighting circuit.

The grey connector connects to the roof harness, for interior lights and the alarm volumetric sensor. Paul.

Nice

Same key can do door locks and ignition but not fuel cap with standard lr barrels. Not sure if there is an aftermarket barrel for fuel cap conversion.

Grey plug interior light connector.

I would fill it with diesel, change the fuel filter.

Sounds more like blocked tank breather and tank vacuum. Try it with the fuel cap not quite so tight, with similar fuel level to what you currently have. Cheers

Thanks for your input. Having a pocket full of keys is annoying Evil or Very Mad

I’ll have a look at the tank. I drained the fuel filter today but no water and everything was clean (as it’s been filtered i guess Very Happy ) will look at your suggestions.

Thanks
