Puma Double Cab stolen from Burton Stather, Lincs 2/12/11
Posted this evening on Landy watch.

First one reported pinched that had a tracker of some description fitted.

Hello all, complete newbie to this the landrover defender double cab pickup that this post refers to is sadly my vehicle. I haved owned the vehicle since 16th of November 2011. Merely a couple of weeks, it was purchased to be my new business vehicle which involves towing a 3 tonne trailer, so no guesses as to why I chose a landy.
The vehicle plate is CU59ORH, as stated it is a keswick green doublecab pickup with a cream roof. It had an Ifor Williams hard cover and a brown church roof rack that was removed during the theft and tossed into a field along with the tracking device. It had a snorkel and black checker plate on the front fenders.
Sadly my ineptness in the security stakes and my apparent rose tinted view of the world thought that landrovers own alarm, immobiliser and tracking device would suffice, how wrong I could be. To my dismay the vehicle was taken from my drive sometime on Friday 2nd december 2011 and the tracker sent a signal at 4.09 am that morning as it was being removed. It was in the village of Burton upon Stather in north Lincolnshire. Scunthorpe police attempted to thwart the crime but arrived on scene at the trackers last known coordinates a fraction too late.

Sounds like it was an LR tracker (I THINK that COBRA provide these at the moment). Also from what he's written, it sounds like the truck was taken/moved before tracker sent it's alert at 4.09am, so either the tracker wasn't functioning correctly or it was compromised in some way at the point of theft. Whistle Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.
