Yes, I think you are correct, it was a 1007 and yes it was very odd.

Many manufacturers have played around with 'odd' cars and some of worked and some didn't.

Volkswagen Fox seemed an odd car. Why buy a Fox rather than a Polo?

The Ford Ka, was undoubtedly odd, but seemed to catch on, even though it wasn't much smaller than a Fiesta. The Mk2 version which was featured in Quantum of Solace, maybe wasn't odd enough. They didn't ever appear to be so many sold.

So getting back to the thread, two cars you don't see very often these days, the Volkswagen Fox and the Ford Ka.

Very true Thumbs Up the first KA I was never a fan of, they had the black wheelarches , I’m sure there’s a VW Fox around the village, I’ll keep an eye out and take a pic, since moving down here I seem to see a lot of older vehicles on the roads Thumbs Up which is great Thumbs Up

There is a woman near me who did a Hayabusa motorcycle engine swap into an old Polo. Not sure if Mk1 or 2 but it bloody shifts! WARNING.

Odd cars - Ford Fusion. Got behind one today on a 57 plate. A sit up and beg Fiesta.

I understand the market they were aiming for, and I suppose there were a few about in the day, but not many now. There were a fair share of 'older gentlemen' who owned Fusions.

Newer KA was actually a chassis share with the Fiat 500 and they simply seemed to do a far better marketing job

Proper old people’s car. My mum had a couple of Fusion’s and loved them. She was gutted when they stopped making them and bought a Fiesta. I can see her point though, it had slightly raised driving position. Good visibility, plus getting in and out was easy on her old bones and the load space with seats down was more than enough even for her ridiculous spur of the moment purchases! WARNING.

Funny enough, there is a driving Instructor still teaching in an old Ford Ka, the 1st generation shape, i think it could be on an 07 plate. God knows what mileage that will have on! Must be one of the oldest cars been used as a learner car. I know those rotted to nothing . Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Has anybody seen a Fiat Multilpla lately? I wish I had bought one when they were peanuts and done and engine swap, dropped it, roll cage etc. They must have all rusted away because I can’t find one anywhere now. WARNING.

Had a nerve shredding taxi ride in one of those from airport in Rome.

I have to say, I actually was really impressed by the interior. The external look was for a specific taste 😄
