Has anyone been to the Festival of the Unexceptional?

I feel that is a show I have been missing out on.

Some of those ‘unexceptional’ cars will be rarer that an E Type.

E Types are lovely cars, but not rare classics. Some of the cars at the FOE are one off’s last of the marque. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Am I the only person who doesn’t like E Type Jag’s. Lovely old motors but its looks do nothing for me. I can understand that it was incredibly curvy and an unusual design when it was released, I just think it looks a bit ungainly. Not proportioned nicely.

Money aside, I think the Mark 2 is far more elegant as a design - albeit not as fast and no where near as valuable.

Maybe I just watched too much Morse Laughing

France 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Alpine White
British car show in France
A car show was organised today in the village, mostly British MG Midgets, B's, GT's, A's lots of Morgans 3 & 4 wheel, plus a cross eyed one, Astons, Jags, a really really good show, 150 cars in all.

My favourite was the Alvis, but I'd have been very happy to take home most of them (I'd have refused the Panthers - horrible things!!!!)

Had to Google Audi 200. I would imagine you are correct, very very few of those left on the road.

I don’t know my BMW’s very well and maybe it is my age, but BMW’s on an F Plate (and there abouts) were an iconic design. I think they looked far more stylish than todays large grilled cars.

Quite a spooky coincidence, but I think it was an Audi 200 that Steed was driving with Purdey as passenger in a New Avengers episode I watched on Freeview a few days ago!!

The same episode had a Leyland truck smashing through a border post.

I love the British Leyland vehicle placement in the series, driven by Steed, Purdey and Gambit :

Early Range Rovers, Broadspeed Jag XJC, Jag XJ-S, Rover SD1, Triumph TR7, MGB, mini and possibly others.

Possibly an Audi 100 as the 200 didn't appear till very late 80’s……..

Just watched it again. The episode was called "Angels of Death" made in 1977.

Think you are correct 90 Dreamer, it must have been an Audi 100.
