Brand new to the lady scene. A steep learning curve ahead I fear. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Recently purchased defender. All good for 4 weeks. Then after about 30km sudden loss of power. Stopped . 10 mins later all fine for a short period then again. Checked coolant level. Low. Topped it up about 2 litres. All good for a we days then same again. Have checked fluid levels topped up. Left engine running and started to search for a leak. No leak found. Found out that the electronics have been altered to give a 25hp increase. Have also read about a cylinder head sensor that shuts engine down when hot. Also possible head gasket. Does all of this sound correct? Where is the best place to start? TIA |

If you have steam from exhaust check the EGR and cooler for internal leaks first, oh and be careful with your nails!
