Cyprus 2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Fuji White
Project: La Jefa - 2.2 Puma
Hi All,
after selling 4 years back two DCPU I had because I was completely tired of owning a Defender, the sickness came back and picked up this one.

At a certain point the youtuber Jon Olsson owned, some videos of it are out there.

Overall the car condition is great, 37k miles and runs well.

I now have two issues:

#1
It is undrivable due to these Trepadors and the overall suspension system that must messed up.
I also get a sort of 'deatch wobble' when picking up speed (I think there's not way to upload videos here)

That said, it is a car that I would use just on weekends etc I'm thinking of keeping the "lift" (more on this after) and replace the tyres with the Yokohama Geolandar G015 LT295/65R20 or R18
They seems to be great A/T tyres, just cant still find them anywhere near me (Cyprus)

#2
Something seems to be off with was done at a certain point with the lift.
It had the TF Pro Sport shock and coils - but it seems that they never installed a full lift kit.
That is why the rear tyres also seem offset

Since I wont be taking that car back down I am thinking to:
Upgrade the shocks with the 4-stage ones by Terrafirma, or get the full kit TF236 (https://terrafirmafactoryracing.com/products/tf236-terrafirma-5in-extreme-lt-dislocation-kit-for-defender-110-130) together with an IronMan steering damper.

Any comments/feedback would be really appreciated and would like to have people along while getting this lady back to shape.

That said, we are already creating great memories with the car.

I love the look of a Tonka Toy, not sure I could live with the on road manners and noise though.

Good luck with sorting the faults, but I'd have thought talking to a suspension specialist like Glynn Lewis or similar would be a good first step.

I expect it running std rear trailing arms hence axle is forward.

Diff noses could be high unless they have been corrected which can make them run low on oil, depending on diffs fitted.

A frame ball joint could also be near max droop when she's sat flat and run out of travel and bind on further droop. Cheers

to be honest, right now road manners are terrible - extremely noisy and the handling is quite unstable

Correct regarding your first point.

Do you think that the TR236 would give an overall improvement?

I think the JW Speaker lights and indicators have their fixings on the back side. So you’ll need to get at them from behind. Charlie

If you think on keeping that setup (I would not. Way beyond any design) only a serious damper like abespoke king, fox, etc will manage such suspension. I think you just will waste your money on those TF. Puma 110" SW

do you have a link? couldn't find from a quick search

ps. regarding the setup - yes it is a bit extreme but I got it already like this. its not a daily driver and might cost me more to 'downgrade' the setup. I am waiting to change the tyres and wheels and see it from there
