Lovely stable you have there. I saw a RR G4 driving north up the M1 last night, they certainly stand out on the road
Glad the plug was sorted, just one of those irritating things that could and does begin to leak 35 miles further down the road |

It’s a superb event Clayton, one G4 member even drove from the south coast in his D2 just for the weekend! Highly recommended 2003 110 G4 used in 03 and 06 events - its well travelled.

It’s been a while since I posted, new job as taken over a bit so the poor old Defender has been sat neglected a bit. However, this weekend, the G4 Owners Club will be displaying at Carfest again so the old girl has been spruced up and will be attending.
The paint on the bonnet was looking particularly faded (as is the roof) so out came the polishing machine and it’s looking a whole lot better! Just back from Carfest, a great show and on the G4 Owners Club stand this year we had 4 2003 event cars and one 2008 110 Utility that was used on the Mongolia Recce. There was also a tasty 90 G4 Edition too.

I came to see your Land Rover, Jon, and very nice is is, too. You didn't seem to be around at the time unfortunately, or I would have said hello.
I didn't realise that the Puma was genuine. I thought all of the G4 Defenders were TD5's. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Oh, sorry I missed you. There were 6 Puma 110 XS Utilities built for the 2009 event. Only 5 remain but 4 of them also went to Mongolia on the recce, one of which was on the stand.
Aside from the black 90 G4 Edition, the 110’s are all well travelled event cars used in 2003 or 2006 or both. They’ve been to South Africa, Thailand and Laos but I don’t think we had a Bolivia/Brazil car there. 2003 110 G4 used in 03 and 06 events - its well travelled. 2002 Range Rover G4 Event car (Australian leg) 2008 Discovery 3 G4 UK Selections car 1968 Series 2a |

Drove the Defender today… it’s been a while. No pics I’m afraid but it was nice to back behind the wheel.
I noticed whilst reversing on full left hand lock a clicking sound from the front left driveshaft, who are the recommended part manufacturer for these? JLR genuine are quite pricey at £330 so decent quality alternative suggestions are welcome. 2003 110 G4 used in 03 and 06 events - its well travelled. 2002 Range Rover G4 Event car (Australian leg) 2008 Discovery 3 G4 UK Selections car 1968 Series 2a |

All i can say is that after many non genuine parts, i learnt the hard way, so now i will only go the genuine route whatever the cost is 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
