Picked up a 1 litre bottle of Tesco motorcycle oil 2 stroke, today for £4.99. Does not say if it is mineral or synthetic but at that price I'd guess mineral based.Says it is formulated from "selected base oils" and is FB spec.Anyone know for sure?. Have been using Castrol Activo but decided to dumb down to the FB spec.
Could get a 5 litre bottle of chainsaw lubricant at the local co-op for €8.99, but there is no info on it whether it is mineral or synthetic or what spec it is. Just says "anti-fling" for chainsaws. Anyway gave it a miss owing to the lack of info.

Don't use that mate. It's not 2 stroke it's chainsaw guide bar lubricant! hence the anti fling.

I may try this 2so business in my Puma as I buy 25ltr drums of it for making up chainsaw fuel at 50 to 1.

Cheers for that. Will be sticking to the bottles where it actually says 2 stroke! Just trying to get the cost down as I use it every fill up. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Ok, it's FB so sounds like I should be good to give it a go Smile

I was wondering about doing a before and after test... As next week my nanocom should be arriving in Spain Smile
Is there anything we measure to see if it improves? Any theories on changes we might expect?

My plan would be to do a test run, to try to keep things comparable ... and try to do on similar days weather/temp wise.
