Turbo Whistle and limp mode | |
Hi. I recently had the gasket between the turbo and manifold changed with the modified one ( Nak) . Now it is leaking again again... question is if i can remove the turbo and simply work on the exhaust manifold with a piece of sandpaper wrapped around something that is aligned. - and the same on the turbo. I suppose it is because the flanges must be "warped" too much for the gasket to compensate. Should I apply anything apart from the gasket?
Another question - could the leak cause the engine to enter limp mode shortly (30 sec) after pulling away from start? and sometimes after about 60 km?
Does the leak make the "pull" significant less? I had the car remapped and for a long while it pulled like a train - but then slowly losing a bit of its pull - never got it back even after changing gasket - could be that the leak never have been fixed properly?
Currently cannot read out fault codes - placed a big Dewalt mitre saw on top of the ATRIC - hope Gary can get a new screen for me.
