Hi, whilst doing my rounds in Minehead today I came across these 2, Procta you’re going to like this and I’m sure it’s quite a rare car on the roads now? and the BMW is a cracker, I’d have that on my drive 👍

we got a bonus car there, the mk3 fiesta Yeah the mk2 vanden Plas metros are rare model, the mk1 metro vanden Plas metros were a dark blue, with the chrome. One went for 10k a few years ago, and it had only did 9000 miles on it. Sad thing about that Austin metro, was that a hell of a lot of good ones were scrapped off, for their engines. Although not technically on the road in this photo the car did drive there so I'm including it Great example and lovely to see, I remember my mother had one in 1971, a midnight blue one and the reg was HVK 101K. I don't know why that reg number or some of the others we've had in the past sticks in the mind when I sometimes can't remember the plates on my current cars, although that may be old age

Hi, I came across these 2 crackers yesterday in Nether Stowey later on when passing the 205 there was a 405 parked behind it but I was driving so didn’t get a chance to take another picture, the golf is absolutely mint, I unfortunately didn’t get the wheels in the pic they were lovely, I also noticed it had vents pressed into the front wings just back from the lights, were they standard on GTI’s ? cheers Paul

Nice bit of 205 that! some of the lads on the 306 forum used to play with the Turbo Diesel variant, and the 309, on the side. They pushed some power did they not, all kicked off when they started to play around with the XUD engines. the successor 206 seems to have vanished now, i did see the odd ones about, and the later GTi version. I could be the only one knocking about with an old peugeot now of that era. Around my area
When i asked who still owned one on the facebook group that replaced the forum, only a handful replied that had one on the drive, and just say a spit full still had them as daily or running. So id hate to think, how many 205s and 309s are still around now, going by the later 306 etc. I think the forum and clubs of the saxo and 106 may have shut down altogether. The 405 group doesn't seem that active at all, when i looked, as i am looking at getting shot of my 405 wheels.
