When I had my DC I had a professional place do it for me. They did remove the glass to do it.
But the chap said it was horrible and if it didn’t work , he would recommend just painting the glass black on the inside, which could always be scraped off with a blade later if required. |

Mine was done by the dealer from new 19 years ago...... A little bit of peeling on the bottom of one...

In the past you used to be able to get a spray tint for rear lights.
Might be worth seeing if it works on glass.. Found this on Amazon and can be used on glass E-TECH ELS150-SMOKE Lens Tint Spray - 150ml https://amzn.eu/d/01tmHvIj I guess you keep over spraying it to get the level of tint you need. |

My window tinter I always use did. mine £50 the pair, perfect finish. Ask around and find a pro Defender puma dormobile camper

I had another go tonight and it was alot better. I am learning to “read” The film a little bit more now. I’ll just keep going until I get it perfect (ish).

I had mine done about 6/7 years ago
The curved cab windows are a pain with normal film, my guy used a perforated film which gives much more “flexibility” for the shape of the glass I don’t have any close up pictures, but it’s unspottable from a couple of feet away fitted  Click image to enlarge My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |

Use a sharpie marker pen along the joint. It will hide it, and can be removed later if required
