That was what I was wondering as I don’t remember the new ones to have the blueing.

But that being said, it’s a vague memory so I’m 50/50 on that. NEVER SURRENDER! ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Not sure myself.. Just what came to mind when I read the comment about the colouring.. I have done some basic heat treating of high carbon steels and am frequently Re hardening and tempering various punches in the workshop, so I do know the colouring can be more or less polished off👍

The blueing is on the part of it that hasn't been ground. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Only if the CHT has failed, little happens other than running richer on fuel than it should and using more fuel than it should.

So, does it happen even the CHT is sending the right temperature? Question Puma 110" SW

I’m just about to try to remove my SCV. The grey pipe with a he brass nut, what does it fit on to? There was a small conical spring inside when I undone it. Does the small end of the spring point towards the nut?

All done. New SCV fitted which while being a bit fiddly was easy enough.

Engine sounds slightly different (could just be my imagination?) but drives nice and smooth. I had a few instances of no power for a second when pulling away from stationary so hopefully the new valve will cure this.

The one that comes out of the back of vac pump? There was no spring apparent in mine. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
