It sounds like the solenoid on the starter.
If so you can rebuild solenoid, get stater off and get it rebuilt, or fit new starter. |

Check the grounding points and battery clamps are tight and clean, you’d be surprised how common these issues are especially the transmission connection and it’s not always the Starter.

So I have inspected earthing and undone and cleaned terminals on motor and nothing.

I fitted this kit about 4 years ago, no problems since. There is a bolt that is a pain in the backside to get out, other that that, not a bad job.

Cheers, fitted the refurb kit and the click is way better. Sadly done a bench test and the cog shoots out but doesn’t spin
