l've had a "low battery" warning when using the GAP tool, apparently the voltage had dropped under 12v
But nothing happened apart from the fact that it then wouldn't do any changes. |

I've done quite a lot of looking on Google and can't find any mention of it.
Unless the guy was using a cheap bluetooth OBD reader which caused issues. |

My car scanner OBD reader is fine left plugged in until I connect to it whilst the car is dormant. Then it drains the battery within a few hours. If I don’t connect to it until the engine is running it seems fine. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

l don't think you are supposed to leave it plugged in to the vehicle

It’s the socket down by your knee that’s used for diagnostics. On Board Diagnostics. A plug in unit connects to your phone by Bluetooth and gives all kinds of diagnostic information. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black
