Daily driver, firewood hauler, jet ski launcher, dads taxi. 2013 110 usw now with 145k on covered just under 20k last year. I break it lots and have rebuilt the engine twice. Once after an oil pump failure and then 20k later a blocked piston cooling jet. Takes me about three long days (14hr days) to remove rebuild and refit if I have all the parts.

I have a new Land Rover Defender since February. We don't use it as a daily car. We adapt depending on the destination, the number of people we have to take with us (I have the 110 - 7 seater), the luggage, etc.

When we need to be in the city or drive short distances, we usually go with my MY 2016 Peugeot 208 (3 doors).

Have to use wife's car when we have to go to Norwich as every Car Park has a height barrier.

Very 110 unfriendly.

Rolling with laughter

I have since found out that a 110 on 16 inch boost's with BFG AT's at 36 psi have about 2-4mm clearance between the roof of the 110 and Castle mall ceiling, if that helps? - by the time you hit! the height balls and they drag along the roof Big Cry it's too late and your committed.

got in/parked/out just!

Shanecm,

When I tried going down the Ramp into Castle Mall a bloke in HiViz suddenly appeared shouting NO! NO!

I had to turn round over the big kirbs, good job I was in the right vehicle.

He told me a Susuki Jimly had gone in the week before and the CB aerial took out loads of lights.

Now I have the roof tent the only one I can find to park is the one opposite Toys are us.

We've got the Defender and a car, so I/we tend to alternate between the two as to which is more convenient at the moment.... Plus with some city driving the petrol seems a little more "eco friendly" Rolling Eyes

.....for a 2.5 turbo petrol that is Whistle ...

But I much prefer the defender. Visibility is great and even better, others tend to actually see you and drive like you're actually there on the road as well! In the car you're totally invisible to cars, bikes, motorbikes, pedestrians etc etc The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html

if you want to get a bit closer try Rouen Road there is a open car park there also and works if you want city or Riverside.

I used to daily the 110 but eventually decided to supplement the fleet with something economical, reliable, trouble free and cheap to live with.
So I did the right thing and bought a 20 year old D3…
