Brake and clutch fluid quantity
As title, how much quantity would be required for a proper flush and replacement of the brake fluid and clutch fluid?
Would 1L be cutting it a bit fine, especially seeing as a good flushing would be ideal?
I’m tending to think that 2L would be a bit safer, but is that way over the top?
The clutch system doesn’t take much at all, but there is losses with flushing both brake and clutch fluid through. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

I think most can get away with 1ltr for the brakes, but if going for a good flush of brakes and clutch then 1.5l would be about perfect.
However given the price of DOT 4 it will only be a couple of pounds more to get 2L’s and that way you know you will not come up short on the day.

Yep, what Ian said. Last time I bought 2 litres to do the job and had a bit left which I keep to top up my very slightly leaky clutch. WARNING.

Good to know, thank you. I did think 1L would be pushing it too far to do both brakes and clutch fluid.
So thank you for clarification so 2L will be perfect.
I think a flush is a good thing for longevity anyway, I have a little LED tester for it (the fluid) for moisture content and is current about 1 or 2% so imminently due for doing for the bi-annual fluid change.

Yeah, probably 400ml to 100ml left.

Unfortunately I think it is the slave. It’s a very slow leak but will need doing at some point. WARNING.

Ah that’s a pain, I had one that had a pin hole of a leak in the diaphragm.

Be sure the bleed valve is shut though and not weeping, they aren’t very strong, but all the same any tiny bit of pressure loss or leaks could do it so any moist areas you never know. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️
