Brazil 2000 Defender 90 300 Tdi CSW Chawton White
300 TDI Main Harness
Hello
To save time and not bore anyone, I'll get straight to the point and tell you what I want to know:
I need to know which is the most complete wiring harness for a Defender 300 TDI.

The last question is whether anyone can tell me where I can find the label with the code for the engine harness and the main harness.

Perhaps the best answer would be to provide me with a link that has all the harnesses with their functions and connectors.
The LR Workshop diagram is very useful but the information is insufficient for what I need.

In case you're interested, I have a Defender 90 (year and model 2000) It comes equipped with a few things including air conditioning, radio, rear defogger, rear windscreen wiper.

What I want to do is add various options that aren't in the car. But I'm going to do it as standard. Electric windows, electric locks, third brake light and alarm centre (preferably A 10) are the initial goals. To avoid improvisation and splicing, I'm thinking of changing the original wiring harness.

I think that in this case, the best approach would be "the more, the better". I believe that having the most complete harness possible is useful, even if there are connectors left over. I'm thinking of leaving it available to add abs, traction control and an EGR valve at a later date.

The most complete harness I have is YMC002503. But it doesn't have ABS.

If anyone would like to help me, please ask me what you need.

TY

The harness will also need to be R-o-W spec too as it is for 300tdi which in 2000 would have been shipped with the Td5 for UK/Europe sales.

Sorry, Rest of World. Landrover (and probably other manufacturers) use the term to describe a lower spec vehicle with older tech or simpler emissions systems that they cannot sell in their normal markets but can still export to countries with less strict rules (usually Africa or South America.

Hi Francisco

I've seen your post on LR Workshop and will try and extract some more detail for the 99-02 bulkhead looms, then reply in more detail. Just so you know, the 300Tdis never had ABS so there won't be a loom with that feature, although it has been retrofitted with custom wiring by some people.

Also, as your profile says you're in Brazil, it's worth checking if your VIN starts SAL (Solihull built) or 93R (Brazil built). The Brazil ones had some different bits fitted.

Best option is late TD5 full option harness and combine the two harness's.

Well, about the VIN number, that's always been a problem. This car was assembled in Brazil. So the vin number is not tracked by British suppliers. But yes, you got it right, my number starts with 93

Yes, I'm thinking about it.
Can you tell me which is the code for the most complete harness for the td5?
