If you apply the speedo healer to the signal from the sensor, your speedo will be wrong.

Interestingly (although only tried briefly so far) my cruise control seems to still work in 5th gear now the V8 ratio gear has been fitted. 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

It shoud'nt they don't usually even with just higher transfer gears

Higher transfer gears are a much larger change in gear ratios though whereas 5th gear change is only going from 0.77:1 to 0.732:1 (5%). 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread
