Strange alarm fault
My alarm kept randomly going off last weekend and doing the double beep/honk when I'd locked it.

The double honk only happens if a door is open and all doors were closed.

I assumed the door "sensors" were faulty; so unscrewed each of them, gave the contacts a scratch with some wet and dry, a blast of contact cleaner and resassembled.

I haven't had the fault since (touch wood), but I don't really understand why this fixed the issue.

It appears the sensor works by breaking the circuit when the door is closed and when I first checked the sensors, they were being depressed by each of their respective doors - so you would assume all circuits were broken.

I don't really know how cleaning the contacts has fixed the issue.... but thought I'd share in case anyone else has something similar happen. 2011 CSW XS 90

Possibly water on one of the switches or dodgy bonnet switch?

If you have a suitable diagnostic tool you can interrogate the alarm ECU and see what triggered it. Saves a lot of time.

Any recommendations?

My basic OBDII scanner isn't really cutting it at the moment and I need to upgrade, something that can put Electronic Parking Brakes in Maintenance Mode would be a great help. Craig.

Itโ€™s common for them to play up, they are relatively cheap to replace which is why I have any suspicions I just replace them.
The bonnet item is not as cheap though. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Alas, the issue has reappeared.

The rubber sleeve on the bonnet switch is perished and the plunger is wonky.

Ordered a replacement (AMR2022) from John Craddocks eBay store ยฃ15 delivered (vs ยฃ46 if bought direct through their website).

Hopefully this sorts the issue. 2011 CSW XS 90
