Washer jet repair kit - how do you do it
I have had a search see references to the 2 part washer repair kit , which I have now got but I have no idea how to do it.

There is a barbed bit and then the washer head.

If I was a betting man my money would be on shove the barbed bit into the bit sticking out of the car and then push the washer head over it. But it looks like it might be a one try option with no ability to take it apart so some guidance would be appreciated

I see from the simply fab life video they tap on the replacement head but not sure if that means the barbed bit is surplus to requirements

Those washer jets are horrid horrid things even when in complete form. I am all for repairing things, but these things... Rolling Eyes

I highly recommend you save your time and effort and either fit a replacement or an upgraded metal version of the washer jets.

I also have a replacement original part for this, as I snapped a pin in one of my jet holes and its never been quite as good. It does give a decent spray up the window but I have to clean it every few months.

As the original post above, I'd also like to know if I can pull off the old and simply push on the new outer part with no problem, as I cannot face it going wrong and having to take the dash apart to fix it.

I appreciate the billet parts are a vast improvement, but with a long list of 'things' that is way down on the list!

Pull old out a push back the new? Old made from hard plastics, hardened and brittle because of the age. I think, it will just broke, and you will need to remove the dash anyway. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

Yes the barbed bit is surplus to requirements, it is a hose joiner, and I don’t know why it is included to be honest. You just smack the new on to the old base. Thumbs Up

Be careful to have it aligned properly before knocking it on, and be careful which part you "smack" as it is quite brittle plastic.

As mentioned, handle it with care as they are brittle even when new.

I seem to renter taking centre dash out, then the HU rear bracket and then that allows easy access.
You can do it from the side I think as well, don’t over tighten it either. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
