Hi all
I came across an anti rust product on EBay called Lanoblack https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165766806455?mk...media=COPY I guess that itโs the same as Lanoguard but black? Has anyone used it? Jim |

I don't believe that has anything to do with the 'Lanoguard' brand / company.
'Lanolin' is the basis for many of these products across multiple suppliers. The actual Lanoguard kit is on ebay here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314800740269?mk...3Bchoc%3A2 |

It will go on exactly the same as Lanoguard so fully user friendly without the need of full PPE.
Fluid Film came originally as a clear(ish) liquid but is now available as a black version. ?si=iB4vJCMvqnXlPIQX There was another brand in the US that was black to be different from the other Lanolin products at the time, i cant remember what is was called but wasn't available in the UK. This You Tube channel is very good and he has gone back over this vehicle once a year for five years showing how successful the product has been. ?si=_ZQfrMIEJmxDyeqC So yes worth buying as long as you are happy with the service. I find Lanoguard to be very good with quick delivery. Plus its a very satisfying DIY job. |

I wasn't a fan of the lano stuff, it never lasted on my truck and turned into a gluey mess. I much prefer the clear Dinotrol (Coroheat) over ACF-50.

I like Dinitrol, ACF 50 is useful in certainly places.
The Dinitrol has kept mine largely like new underneath for years only needing the odd top up in places, and barely that. I might do it again in the next few years but it lasts and lasts $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Plus, I donโt know what other options others have regards brands and what they offer, but with Dinitrol you can use a Compressor or Aerosol.
For me, the aerosol was more useful and they had the items needed to do a good job such as the internal applicator straws. Definitely recommend PPE, really dry weather and clean, clean, clean, everything as much as possible. Hammerite Kurust works well applied by brush for any surface prep it worked well for me. Brown wax internal, black external which makes it easier to tell which is which and where also. I forget the product number that they were as they changed them. I think quantity wise it was something like 8 aerosol cans for external and 4 or 5 internal aerosol cans of wax. Based on a 90 but more for a 110 or bigger. This is based on memory it was some time ago so donโt quote that exactly, most info on this should be on here when searched for.
