Well, that's fabulous news because these light units are nearly £3,000 each and once out of warranty you are on your own.

That’s just bonkers. Once the thieving parts scumbags realise the cost of these things then expect to see a rise in thefts Twisted Evil Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Yes, had both replaced under warranty on my Velar as they were cracking, it was a battle. £2.5k + VAT per corner. The rears cracked as well, though there was a technical bulletin for the rears 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

The chip he is talking about has been available for quite some time now, you can get them from China for about £15, as usual it's not something he has discovered, he is just copying what other people do and then will charge a premium for it Rolling Eyes Cheers Ian

£3000 each!…… Shocked how is that even possible? You could buy a half decent Ford Fiesta run around for that money or even an old style Defender that needed a little bit of work.

Land Rover really have alienated their old school supporters….☹️

I am getting old I suppose, but when I shop for a second hand car, I do research on what fancy stuff to avoid because when it breaks it's typically expensive to fix.

So when I am ready to buy my pretender I will be looking for the base spec.

There's often ways around replacing these expensive parts, as above. lf it's a common failure there's likely to be an aftermarket alternative or a repair possible, as the vehicle gets older and aftermarket companies start looking at ways to make money from it.

That's what I did buying it from new and was pleased, much later, when I discovered how much the fancy ones cost to replace. Thumbs Up Current vehicle: 2020 Defender 110S
