Overheating message appeared on the display
Good morning,
My defender 3.0 D is at the dealership. unfortunately I had to call the tow truck after a red engine overheating message appeared on the display asking me to stop and turn off the engine.
In the workshop they found a faulty radiator hose, in practice it lost a lot of water, but not all of it.
The dealership says there is no damage to the engine. What do you think about it? Could it have damaged something? I stopped immediately as soon as I saw the overheating light on.
Greetings

lt's most likely okay.

The warning is just that, telling you the engine is getting too hot. So long as you've stopped driving it immediately (which you did)

lt's better than my old Defender TD5. The temperature gauge on that had three positions "cold" "normal" and "too late"
