That's interesting. I'm going to add this to mine this week. I skipped it assuming it was soft close only. Thanks for the clarification.
Nice thing about this one is it won't set off a brake error! "edit": Added it last night... works as promised I had in my notes that it was for soft close only. How is this a feature that isn't enabled from the factory? Totally strange thought process. Last edited by chpsk8 on 3rd Oct 2023 7:03pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I noticed in the latest Pivi update (4.1) it mentions updates to the assisted steering on the Adaptive Cruise - has anyone had a play with enabling assisted steering?
Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist/ Lane Keep Assist: (Please note: Not all of the below improvements are applicable to vehicles with only Lane Keep Assist) – Smoother assisted steering for road layouts which include direction changes, lanes splitting and road marking transitions. Image processing improvements for surface estimation. |

I have a GAP Tool BT from around 2015, do I need to update the firmware before using for L663 2023 (p400e)?

Has anyone got park assist working without errors, someone said about resetting something (pivi presumably) and letting the car sleep and then the errors went. I get the brake error too.

Hello!
I have activated Park Assist (786, see below) when activating ACC using a 72h license of the Chinese JET Pro Software. That way I got it activate without the emergency brake fault. Unfortunately it does not work until now. It stops on the Pivi screen when the assistance wants me to push the „start“ button on the Pivi screen which is greyed out and does not react. I tried many various other settings on the park assist related configs but all without effort. When I try to unable the MC-786 I get the emergency brake fault that others get when activating MC-786 or ACC. Related to: MultiCAN-786 Park Assist Standard: Not Fitted Change to: Full Auto VarD (Fully automated park assist with automated steering breaking accelaration and gears) Greetings Philipp --------------------------------------- MY24 Defender 110 XS-Edition D250 Stealth Mod MY07 VW Multivan T5 Sport Edition D5 MY12 Mini R55 Cooper Works MY00 MB SLK 320 R170 Designo MY21 KTM 690 SMC-R |

You need to have a G3 version of the tool to work on 2017+ vehicles, if you IID tool doesn't have G3 on the label you will have to get in touch with GAP Click image to enlarge Cheers Ian -------------------- 22MY Defender 110 D200 SE, Fuji White. Kielder 4x4 Safari Instagram @defender_v8 |

Thanks for trying out @Philipp1601 I guess we will need more testing time. It still works for me, but with the brake fault on. I will update if I get any different result. |

I let mine sit overnight and still get the Emergency Brake message immediately upon start.
After a few minutes I get the message about "limited traction" and "2 wheel drive". I do see a little blue "P" show up on the dash right below the "2" in my RPM dial when I am driving 18mph (30km) with occasional arrows left or right. I don't live near any striped lots, so I don't know what happens next. |

That’s exactly what happened to mine. Still with the brake error I was able to use it.
The feature park parallel or in a spot between two cars even if there is no car parked. To activate the feature you should see a steering wheel on your Pivi above the camera, once you press that button, the car will start searching for an open parking spot while you drive around and it will show on your Pivi when a spot is found. Once it finds a spot, stop, press on the spot you want the car to park, press Start at the bottom of you Pivi and the car will start parking by itself. You won’t need to press gas or maneuver. |

After update CCF downloaded succesfully. Todays candy was Config TR, Seatbelt Alarm off, Dynamic-I and Auto Start Stop. After Auto Start Stop mod EV selection gives an error "not in use". Any idea to this (p400e)? All the other mods works perfect. Thanks Ian for the great instructions! |

Hybrid vehicles always have the "instant on" electric motor(s), so no true "Stop and Go" like petrol engines. The system controls if (and which) side to use all the time.

Has anybody tried -Menu–Service/Test -> PAM-Parking Aid -> Reset CCF Learn for auto paring.
If is recommended on the GAP tool site under FAQ? Also I notice my Android app received an update yesterday for 2017+ models, I wounder if that helps at all. |

That's true. Hybrid mode is just frustrating when jumping out and in to car; it switches car off. |
