Forgive my naïvety... What are the steps that come with an XS Puma? Are they simply side steps as a way of helping elder... less flexible members of society get into and out of a Defender? Or do they serve a similar purpose to the rock sliders/tree sliders?

The XS can come with either standard folding steps or what is called side protection runner. Whilst these side protection runner will give some protection from minor impacts, They will not give you the same sort of impact protection as rock and tree sliders. They are more like steps then protection despite their name
They also sit lower down then rock and tree sliders. Brendan |
