I've got to ask, why do you want to disable your wireless charger? Cheers Ian

I won't use wireless carplay due to very frequent crashes so my phone is always plugged in via USB. While my phone was plugged in and sitting on the wireless pad I was getting a notification (on the phone) saying that charging had been halted because it was too hot. I know the phone won't charge wirelessly while plugged in but thought there still may be some sort of interaction between the coils since the infotainment display still indicated that wireless charging was active. Really more of an experiment and a good excuse to tinker.

Thanks Nicofender just doing my part. đź‘Ť

As for the wireless pad charger it is too bad that LR did not just put an on off switch for it on the dash. My Toyota truck has this making turning it off easy. You could use the little plastic cover from LR as an option. Here is a picture of the owners manual about the charger which points out some good reasons to turn it off or use the cover.

The KVM is the keyless vehicle module. Land Rover started locking down the KVM to prevent people breaking into cars and using a tool to code a new key to the car and then steal it. But it seems that not all KVM's are locked down eg if you car was only supplied with one key the KVM was left unlocked so that the dealer could add your second key when it arrived. Some of the earlier cars are also unlocked for whatever reasons so that may be one of the videos that you watched. If your KVM is locked that means the IID tool can't add a another key and the dealers Pathfinder system is unable to also, you have to replace the KVM to replace keys. Now I notice above that Brockmoor Howard has had a key added by using an established car key company but I don't know how this company bypassed the 'locked' KVM Confused

I got my activity key today and was able to code it using the IID tool without issue. My car is a 2023.5 and came with 2 keys, so it seems like it would have the updated KVM. However I do have the analog gauges, so perhaps they skimped on the KVM as well.

One thing to note is the vehicle has to be in service mode, which you can enable from the Land Rover phone app.

After using it for a few minutes I noticed some odd behavior
- Approach unlock / lock doesn't work
- I can unlock the car using the button on the door handle, but I cant lock it that way

Anyone know if that's expected? I could understand approach unlock/lock not functioning as it seems the band is very conservative with power so it may not be broadcasting all the time. But it's strange that the lock button does not work.

The rear hatch functions normally.

This is what happens on my MY2022 so I gave up with it, by the way do you have the approach lock/unlock switched on in your Pivi settings? Cheers Ian

I think I have it working also but can't be certain as I haven't got access to a trailer at the moment, I thought I may have been able to trick the system with a trailer board plugged in Laughing But, I can get it to operate and click the start button which is the farthest I've been yet with it, unfortunately when I try to move it then pings up "trailer not detected" and switches itself out of the tow assist mode, so I'm pretty confident it's working Bow down

One thing that you mentioned was not getting it to show up straight away, if you are doing an activation that involves adding something to the Pivi screen you can always reboot Pivi after the car has gone to sleep but you can also run a programme on the IID tool. I do this after most activations now and can get things to show up straight after. Thumbs Up

Does yours work with your activity key?

Apologies I didn't read that properly, I thought you meant just approach lock/unlock in general wasn't working not with your activity key. Unfortunately I don't have an activity key to test. Cheers Ian

It’s in the RFA remote function actuator section under ECU settings (or something like that, I haven’t got mine connect to check exact wording) and then it’s the KVM state you need to look at.

It will be interesting to see if your says locked forever and you have managed to program an activity key to it.

It says NOT Locked Forever. I guess I got lucky with the supply chain issues in this case. A small win after not getting the digital dash or 11" screen Very Happy
