A base SW grenadier starts at $110,000 Aussie before you add any options, hence it can be well within the same price bracket as a new D300/P400 110 Defender. It certainly has not targeted the classic Defender price point in Oz which was between $55-$70k for the last of the classics from the dealers (MY16).. ASPW has just put his money down on the new Toyota.. yet to see how the new 70 series and Prado will pan out cost wise, they are not cheap, especially the current 70 series.. Still waiting on the local INEOS dealer to get one in so we can have a look, the wife is looking to move her 13 year old RRS on, so we might look to add to our stable with possibly a D250 90 or see if INEOS have something actually in market in the near future we can take a peek at yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

I usually really like ASPW and his videos, but the last one he was bleating on about us "buying him a coffee/beer" in relation to Patreon subscriptions and almost threatening "us" with no more videos if he doesn't get his free coffees. He's going to lose a lot of followers with that attitude.
shame as there's loads more 4x4 related stuff out there. I quite like 4WD 24-7 for their humour and off road shennanigans in Australia. |

He seemed to think every manufacturer owed him something, especially access to press launches, bleat bleat bleat... no wonder he gets very little in terms of invites..
just watched the 4WD 24-7 Cape York trip, on youtube, we did the Old Tele track in the wifes RRS and did a few crossings, only managed one that was as deep as some of the crossings they covered .. Still trying to track down a Ineos to view.. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Hi all
There are currently 47 Grenadier's available on Auto Trader. Is this speculation from folk who have purchased with the intention of selling for profit, disappointed owners who, for whatever reasons, have decided that the vehicle is not for them or owners who have been hit by the cost of living crisis? Nope gunshot is for those slightly insane with no qualms about doing serious damage, the wife’s RRS was 3 years old at the time, so bypassed it yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

I sold mine today, for a profit relative to the 66k I pledged to 15mths ago. Long convoluted story. Was planning on exporting and was taking a punt on being able to export without having to pay extra taxes at destination. If that failed I was going to evaluate either selling my tarted up 2013 90 and adding a bit of capital in to bridge the gap, or sell the grenadier and return to status quo. The beauty of my 90 is that I can do stuff to it without worrying. Buy bits and bobs here or there, not worry about warranties when I fiddled about with things, and individualise it to my ?questionable taste. Just couldn't relax into that mindset with something that now would cost serious wedge if it all went wrong. As a vehicle it was an absolute beast. I don't get the footrest issue. I like the subtle nods to the Defender. I don't like the 5 series gear selector. That bit baffled me but it's connected to the B58 engine which is a peach and I could talk about it for hours so I'll forgive it. Economy not stellar but hey I'm driving a Defender normally so let's not shout too loudly. As you sit there in the cockpit (because it feels that way with all the switchgear) you feel like you could go anywhere and not worry. It'd have your back. In the Defender I feel that I could go anywhere and it's best not to worry, because it won't affect the outcome, and the worst case scenario won't cost me what is fast becoming 80k. In short: great, capable off road vehicle. Too expensive for its utilitarian nature. Would buy if I had 80k lying around. |

Well that is a bit niche but a great way to prove the longevity and adaptability of the vehicle and spread parts and expertise through a continent.

Saw one on the M5 northbound today, first one on road.
Visited Ineos Dealer in Glous last week, they had cars in showroom 3, cars in compound 12-15, sales guy claimed they were all customers cars wait for PDI. I was alarmed when he asked what I drive, told him the New Defender 110, to which he apologised !!! So I left. Customer service/sales at Ineos is no better than at JLR. |

I had the same in edinburgh first time I went in. Played dumb and let the salesman give me the story about the pub and how the new defender was awful so Ineos went and built a proper replacement. Was very embarrassed when I pointed to the 110 in the car park
I still want a grenadier though! But the recent price hikes have just made it a non-starter for me now. Perhaps in a few years as I do really like the concept. |

Drove past the Skipton dealership yesterday. It was shut, but I stopped and had a good look at the cars on the Forecourt. I have to say, seeing them outside in real life rekindled my enthusiasm a bit, then I saw the price in the screen They are a big beast aren't they?
There must have been 25+ cars on premises, some marked as sold, some with prices in the window, so I presume cars are available should my numbers come up. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |
