I was at the Nith Inshore open day last weekend. They had just taken delivery of this 5 seat station wagon which will replace their TD5 Defender for pulling a boat trailer around Dumfries and Galloway.
It was not sure about usable space in the rear. The wheel arches are labelled as being for light items only. Click image to enlarge 1995 Defender 110 CSW 1971 SIIA Lightweight |

Regarding the rear doors. A lot has been said about how easy it is to put stuff in the back owing to the fact that the vehicle has two rear doors. Having looked at photos I do not think you can get anything wider into this vehicle than you could get into the old Defender. The Grenadier is limited by the width of it's wheel arches just as the old Defender was. I don't think there is much difference in rear floor width between the two vehicles. Maybe someone who has seen one up close will know better. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Oh no... The last remaining reason for sticking with my Defender has just gone! Apart from the unjustifiable cost of changing vehicles of course.. ^^ Well ... apart from the fact that your Pop Top looks hugely better than the Black sheep version on the Grenadier! 110 D300 SE Tasman blue

Not sure about these cheese wedge hi-tops.
In my archive I found this from the 90's, first shown at Peterborough. Click image to enlarge ....... never seen again...... but a much better shape. IMO |
