Try locking and unlocking 2 or 3 times with the engine off. I had similar on my Puma at the weekend (different light though).

On a puma the red alarm indicator light stays on when the vehicle is started to tell you your fob battery is low.

Given early Puma’s had a 10AS ( later Puma’s had the ALM CH then DH units ) and they both did this I expect it’s the same for pre Puma’s fitted with a 10AS alarm unit.

So change your fob battery, A CR2023 , get a Panasonic or Varta from a reputable supplier as lots of fakes out there.

Hopefully this will be an easy and cheap fix.

Definitely try a new fob battery, but it is the small circular red light in the speedo that flashes to indicate the battery as being low.

My bet is there is a fault with the 10AS unit or a bad connection. Charlie

Thanks guys

Just been out and bought a pack of Duracell 2032’s. Replaced batteries in both fobs and the light is still on….😩

Everything else is working fine - central locking, interior courtesy lights and the engine starts no problem…

I’m afraid it sounds like a 10AS fault. Charlie
