Many thanks for the replies.
My odbc socket was looking a bit trashed so thought id replace it... except you cant get it any more, seems to have been replaced with C2S32215. Tried an econoseal socket from a 3 pin socket ... doesnt fit. Have emailed simtek.co.uk to see if they can help. I have boxes of OBD connectors/pins and also the covers to keep dirt out of the pins.
Message me if you get stuck. Think I buy them in at £2 per socket/cover. Pins for other plugs will probably be JP/JPT. About £6/50 for known/decent supplied ones that crimp and seal properly. 1999 TD5 110 CSW |

many thanks for the offer. I actually revistited the earthing round the ECU. Put an earth from ecu to body, then another one from battery to the seat box on the other side. Plugged in the nanaocom I'd just bought and everything worked just fine.
May actually revidit the odbc plug at some point and replace with new one but other things to do at the moment ![]() A Santa - 1977 Series 3 - new chassis, tub, disc brakes,SU Carb Gertie - 1999 110 TD5 - like a Phoenix from the ashes back on road... almost Effie - 2004 110 TD5 County |
