Here's some pics with connectors of a 2002-06 rear loom
https://www.lrworkshop.com/wiring-looms/de...not-pickup It's for a 300Tdi not a Td5, so the only difference will be the fuel pump wiring LR Workshop Find a Defender's history and spec: https://defender.lrworkshop.com |

So sorted the rear sides out.
Cut the outer edge off the door seal trim, see previous picture, filled the holes. ![]() Click image to enlarge Just needs a bit of tiger seal to fill the gap. Makes it the sane length as a later defender side. Will look fine after painting. |

Purple bullet is permanent battery supply, doesn't connect to rear door.

Some unexpected extra things.
Needed new safari corner cappings as originals had holes for drop down tailgate and had been modified for a swing out tail gate. So hinge holes were in the wrong place. Plus no support brackets for rear door strut on the wheel arch. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge YRM metals have been brilliant. Looking into wiring. There a few unused wires behind the auxiliary socket panel on the dash, early td5 dash. These must be for the rear wiper, wash etc

So the new Alucab roof is excellent, but when it rains the water runs off the gutter and dribbles down over the door.
Designed a 3D printed gutter extension to direct it on the front screen. ![]() Click image to enlarge And some covers to tidy up the B pillar top bolts. ![]() Click image to enlarge |
