Hi all
I have a 2007 Tdci 90 with what I assume is the factory fitted sunroof with the twist handle. The previous owner has gaffer taped it shut, presumably because it leaks. I'm taking the car to get its roof painted in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to ask them to replace the sunroof seals with a new one while they're at it. The thing is I don't know which seal is leaking, looks like there's a couple of them. I'm looking on the LR parts website for seals and looks like there are two replacement kits available: https://www.lrparts.net/awr3320-sunroof-to...-2016.html https://www.lrparts.net/lrc10106-twist-han...patch.html They look the same to me...can anyone help/advise? Thanks! Last edited by johnnymarrsbarres on 9th Dec 2024 2:19pm. Edited 1 time in total |

In the past I have removed the sunroof and refitted it down on decent sealant, has been completely dry for nine years now. It’s fairly easy to do, remove the rubber felt seal to reveal on the fixing screws, unscrew the bottom section from the top section and re seal.

Hi all.
On my sunroof seal conundrum. The hinges were knackered and not even screwed in properly, so I’ve replaced those. Easy enough job. I’ve also replaced the seal. I’m finding though that while I think it’s seated properly, the sunroof glass wants to ‘tuck’ in at the front, but sit on top at back. This doesn’t look right to me. See photos attached. Am I doing something obviously wrong here? Thanks all. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
