I suspect your last sentence is the reason why LR didn't fit it in the first place. Obviously not a problem if you're aware of the limitation but LR can't take that chance. Darren

Yes, for sure that is the case. But for those who want to be able to have one there is nothing technically different with the seat to hold you back from installing one. Haven’t seen anything about it so just thought I’d let people know. 👌🏻 2025 Defender 130 V8 (DOA, new one coming)

Worth pointing out is that it is actually easier folding the front seat forward when there is a rear-facing seat in it than if there is a high back booster seat... Not requiring isofix. So the decision from LR to skip isofix in the front in the 90 but not specifically advice against high back booster seats is interesting...
Difference is that you can slide the seat forward better with the booster seat but not fold it. So you won't get out from the back anyway. 2025 Defender 130 V8 (DOA, new one coming) 2025 Defender 90 D250 (wifes) 2024 Defender 110 p400e HSE (sold) 2015 Defender 110 Double cab 2004 Defender 90 Td5 |

I listed the part numbers in the first post. Good luck! 2025 Defender 130 V8 (DOA, new one coming) 2025 Defender 90 D250 (wifes) 2024 Defender 110 p400e HSE (sold) 2015 Defender 110 Double cab 2004 Defender 90 Td5 |

Hi Carltb, thanks for your reply. I have found the parts and decided to have a look under the seat before the purchase. I took off the side plate and lifted the fabric but cannot see where the 4 bolts would go. Perhaps this had now changed with the 2024/25 model I just purchased.
Thanks again for your help. |

Hi Dave, yes I managed to source a bar that fits and 2 bolts are needed. I see you’re in England so a different part number is needed for the RHD.
I purchased the cheapest I could find at duckworthparts uk Parts; LR089420] BAR - ISOFIX LR048645] SCREW X2 Here’s a video clip showing how to remove the side plate. A pretty easy task all in all. Good luck. |

![]() Click image to enlarge found this photo, it shows what the ISOFix bar looks like once installed (not that I have done it) The 'ISOFix-buttons' will be more difficult to fit (although not needed if the fit is temporary) |

Hey, I am also interested in installing an Isofix mount. I was able to remove the plastic cover, but now I am wondering where exactly the bar should be mounted. I was able to slightly remove the seat cover, but not enough to see a possible attachment point. Could someone perhaps provide a few photos of the installation?
