If its for work,, trees etc,, i would say hydraulic , will just pull all day, look at Mile Marker, or Red Winch
Have 4 or 5, 8274's from bog std, to twin overvolted motors ones, great winch for competition !! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

Well if you have a hydraulic winch you need drive and space to put it! (resivor etc)
Electric is more compact and can run without drive! As you say both are good in different ways. Will the hydraulic work if you tair a line? Will the electric work is some one nicks the motor? Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

Why would you tear a line? Anymore than if you tore a power cable?? If not hydraulic then pto mechanical winch is just the dogs danglies |
