No problem, I usually have trouble uploading photos off my iMac so I guessed it hadn't uploaded the photos properly!
Is said sub plug quite a rarity then hence the lucky part? Could be a handy find then seeing as my next move was to improve the audio in some way, hopefully someone might come along with a link to the sub! Thanks for the help Martin |

Someone is selling a factory sub and head unit/speakers in the for sale section, perhaps this is the one you need?

1978 Thanks for the link, i think thats being sold as a package and I've recently fitted a bluetooth sony head unit into my 90 along with the iso adapter from mud stuff to make it work.. hopefully changing that iso adapter to make it compatible with my sony head unit won't have affected the plug in question and stopped it working or whatever.
JOW240725 I was guessing that this plug was just for an active sub to plug into so I'm not sure, beauty of an active sub is every thing can be nice and tidy in one place obviously and you don't have to worry about where to put the amp, the sub all the wiring and so on so I'm keen to find the exact plug and play one, although I'm guessing even with the sub that is plug and play for this connector you'd still have to run the RCA cables from the sub to the rear of the head unit. i could be wrong though |

That's interesting!
Although the factory fitted subs do seem to take up quite a bit of space in the rear passenger footwell - are there alternatives? |

The SVX sub and amp is different to the later Alpine units.
My 2015MY 90 XS does not have the connector spare. I've just been out to double check and I have an empty hole in the rubber matting and a blanking sticker over the hole in the metal plate. At a guess I think that the connector series is Yazaki "YES" The connector in your pics is 7282-5560-40 and the matching one you'd need to make a loom is 7283-5560-40 I can't find a supplier though There are various link looms that LR list, but none appear to be a match for what you'd need to plug into the sub connector: LR040845 LR040846 LR040847 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Cheers Martin, I spoke to a local landcover dealership and they basically said they have no idea what the plug does where i can find the alpine sub to plug into it and so on just generally didn't know anything about it!
If it was fitted by land rover i struggle to see how they don't know anything about it and how it is so hard to find the alpine sub with a female version of this connector! Oh well, shall see if any other members could shed a little more light on the subject. Once again thanks all |

You need to go into the parts department and get them to look at the parts list for the subwoofer.
I wouldn't expect the sales or service departments to know anything about retrofits. Or have a nose about at http://new.lrcat.com/#!/1235/2632/3061/238 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
