Still haven't gotten around to fitting mine so haven't studied them in detail yet. However, I've just extracted the following from the Koni adjustment manual:

Had my 110 serviced yesterday and finally had my Koni's fitted. The ride is much improved - much less harsh over regular lumps and bumps and better body control around corners Darren

How did you set the rebound? Soft, Medium or Firm? Assuming you have standard springs how is it with and without weight in the back? If you had the back laden for a holiday would your setting still be stiff enough? Mark |

All set to soft for now, with original standard springs. Without any significant weight in the back, which is its' usual state, it's absolutely fine. Much less harsh over bumps and generally more compliant.
You'll have to wait a few days for an answer to the second part of you question, though. We're going on holiday on Friday and it'll be loaded with bikes and various other 'holiday' stuff and we'll be hanging a large twin axle caravan on the back, which should be a suitable test I last had Koni's fitted to a 300tdi Discovery, which was kitted out for overland travel. On that, they were set to soft on the front and hard on the back, which was great when loaded, but quite harsh when empty, although that was with HD springs on the rear. The spring rates and rear axle weight of a 110 is very different form a Discovery, so it's difficult to compare them though. vancluse, LRA - can you confirm the type of Kon's you're fitting to the 110's? I feel the credit card is getting worried - I think I'll bite the bullet.
Already fitted 110 CSW springs (to my USW) and it has made a small improvement, the Koni's will hopefully add icing to the cake Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

I purchased my front and rear shocks from him. Heavy Track for me too. I bought two of mine from Defender Bits as I was in the area but, including postage, Paddocks had the best deal at the time. The other two I got for a bargain price via eBay, which I appreciate doesn't help at all Darren

Heavy tracks here as well. well worth the cost. i still have them set to the soft setting which is fine for my fairly light loads.
But will be off to France for 2 weeks on Friday so will be a bit heavier than normal. BM52 |

HI i kept my 2006 110 csw on origonal springs but put 2 inch blocks under the front and 1 inch blocks under the back spring plates . this levels the vehicle perfect and a set of pro comp gas shocks . Transformed the ride . cornering and looks . I will be doing exactly the same on my brand new 2012 2.2 110 xs next week .
