AS10 removal - map changes
Hi

Does anyone know how to change a NNN ECU map to delete the AS10 immobiliser?

Think bell auto services can do that Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details

I want to do it myself. MEMS3 looks promising.

Has anyone used MEMS3 with a 15P Defender, NNN ECU? It seems to have been developed for the Disco 2. Cant see why it wouldn’t work…

My last info is that you may have it deactivated but the AS10 cannot be removed. In Pumas & TD5 at least....

It can be removed by changing a value in the ecu map/firmware. Empire tuning and others do it. I just want to find out the address to change so I can DIY!

Don’t think anyone is going to hand out that info for free. You can “remove” it, but it controls your interior lights, central locking etc. So when they say map it out, basically they’re stopping it looking for the rolling code. The box will still be there unless you rewire that. I have done that with td5 looms in Tdis

The other thing you could try is these mini guys in Germany

Pleased to report that I have done it.

I will do a proper write up later, but essentially:
Desoldered 93C66 EEPROM
Used an Arduino to zero out register
Resoldered
Ground starter relay pin that’s normally connected to 10AS. Can be switched for manual immobiliser.
Removed 10AS

In my case I am completely replacing central locking, manually control interior lights, and don’t want an alarm- I have other measures including an optimill swivel lock
