Has anyone tried to fit deployable tow bar? I know what modules, wiring etc is needed but LR lists 2 seperate deployable bars. One for air and one for spring suspension.

I have air but I've got my hands on a deployable for springs setup.

Just wondering if anyone actually knows what the difference is, if any before I take. My car apart. I have a MY24 d250 xs edition. Many thanks.

I wonder if the difference is that with air suspension you get the extra switches in the boot to raise and lower the car/towbar?

This is the bit that goes into the end of the chassis rail. You can see the three open holes in a triangular pattern and then one threaded one at the end, they are the four vertical bolts.

I would not omit them - it will affect the strength massively as these bits resist the loading of the hitch and the turning moment on the bar due to the drop. Dropping the exhaust and adblue tank is not difficult, neither need to be removed - just lowered enough to get the long bolts out.

Brilliant thanks mate. OK so it seems that my coil variant should. Bolt on then as it looks exactly the same as yours. Thanks again pal

l've got the fixed/removable tow ball on my 90 Commercial (coil springs) and have never once bashed my shins on it.

l never remove the tow ball although l've tried the remove/replace a couple of times to make sure it works.

OK so bit of an update. I've fitted the deployable. Bar today. I an confirm the spring tow bar also fits air suspension. Not sure why there's two diff part numbers?

Can anyone with deployable tell. Me. If you can deploy from the touch screen? I don't have the switch for the boot yet so can't test.

Ive searched through my ccf and can't find anything to add a button on the screen.

Would anyone mind sharing there ccf if you have the deployable. Tow bar please? If enabled the items I can find but would lime to double check.

Cheers Gareth
