Good grief that's just unbelievable. Close to a year waiting for parts? What parts are they waiting for?

l thought the parts supply issue had been largely resolved now, there's no longer a delivery backlog on new Defenders, apart from the Commercial version you can get a new one factory order delivered in three months.

That makes it even more frustrating, that the parts are available just not in the right place. Then it can only be a result of poor management and lack of customer care.

In September there were still 8 articles from the order without delivery date. Obviously the majority of the ordered parts have been delivered since long and are waiting on a shelf somewhere.

Could be that the biggest problem is local incompetence, but the end result is the same. 110 SE D200 MY21 Tasman blue

In cases like this the warranty would need to be extended to take into account the time the vehicle has spent off the road. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I assume you have gone through the parts list and checked online yourself? Many are the times where I have sourced parts quicker than the dealer... 2025 Defender 130 V8

Ten months in a courtesy car, that's costing someone a whole hill of money.

For my older LR's I of course order all parts and do all repairs myself, much quicker and less grief.
But since this is an insurance case, not our fault, I'm not motivated to spend time doing someone elses work.
It's also been a lot of:
"It's going to be ready end of Jan"
"Well, we still miss some parts, but they should be on their way now"
"We have almost everything, the remaining parts should be here any day"
"I'm going to re order all missing parts today, it should help"

So it's sort of a slippery slope, always there is some update but months keep slipping away. 110 SE D200 MY21 Tasman blue

Yes, the insurance company.
The repair is very expensive in itself and adding rental car costs should bring the total up to or beyond the full value of the car.

Insurance companys get their money from us and we know what happens to models that have expensive damages. 110 SE D200 MY21 Tasman blue

Over here, after 30 days, the insurance company stops paying for the rental car and the cost is absorbed by the shop/dealer performing the repair work. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package
