They’ll be making a huge mistake if they are late to the party because the baby G class will wrap up the market. WARNING.

Was it ever actually confirmed? I’ve never seen anything official on it.

Too busy wondering what to do with Jaguar?
Jaguar dealers will have no new cars to sell in 2025 as carmaker readies luxury electric GT for ’26 https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/ja...-26/306287 JLR dealers won’t be selling any new Jaguars for most of 2025, as the British carmaker plans to scrap Jaguar’s entire range in readiness to reposition it as a luxury pure-electric brand. JLR ended production of the XE and XF saloons and the F-Type sports car earlier this year, while in July it confirmed it would axe the E-Pace small SUV by the end of 2024. It had been hoped Jaguar’s sole electric model, the I-Pace, would remain in production until the firm’s repositioning as an exclusively high-end maker of EVs, but it too will be cut to boost the brand’s profits. |

Not surprised. Their line is so old it will take ages to sell
All the stock they already have and trying to selll the remaining I-Pace will be even more difficult. |

Last I heard it was going to be electric, based on the EMA platform so will be built at Halewood plant.
I think Discovery 6 is more of a priority for JLR and we’re likely to see that before any additional Defender. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

I thought the Discovery 6 was already out.
Oh no, that's the new RRS, or maybe the RR or any of the rest of the range that all look the same.... |

Ive been made aware that production of Disco 5 is to halt soon.
Too many customers are buying the New Defender 110, and snubbing the the Disco 5, which in my mind was never a shape customers liked. |

On LR magazine the Disco 5 is the best second hand seller for Land Rover.
At dealers they don’t even keep any on display and when I asked about the disco the sales guy told me not to bother… I guess they make a lot more money of the Defender. Land Rover have squashed it between defender Velar and Disco sport. Don’t really see the need for a Disco 6 at least in Europe. Disco owners either buy the new defender or the Range sport or the Velar. |

I never understood the need for the Velar ? It is basically a Jag. And why would JLR want to place a Velar in the RR brand and ALSO have the Jag in a different body. JLR were competing against themselves. Who thought that was a good marketing strategy ??

Defender can’t match the Discos practicality. I had a Velar, it was a nice car. The only one I’ve put through an MOT. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

There's been no word from Land Rover themselves about the new "smaller Defender" it's all hearsay in car magazines.
And no updates since Summer 2023. So who knows. You'd think Land Rover would have put out some teasers if they were planning to launch the vehicle "in 2027" as the magazines predict. |
